FRSA is excited to announce that we are now an accredited B-cycle Importer participant and a full member of the Battery Stewardship Council (BSC) — the body that governs Australia's national battery recycling scheme.
As a business in the emergency response industry, a number of products we provide contains batteries - from gas detectors, AEDs, thermal imaging cameras, vehicle extrication tools and more. B-cycle accreditation means we are taking formal responsibility for the end-of-life impact of those batteries at the point of import.

Every product with a battery that FRSA imports into Australia is formally covered under the government-backed, ACCC-authorised national battery stewardship scheme. From vehicle extrication tools to thermal imaging cameras, FRSA is committed to ensuring the product batteries are responsibly managed at this stage in the lifecycle. |
Genuine Environmental Contribution
Every battery recycled through B-cycle recovers lithium, nickel and alkaline — critical materials that go back into new battery manufacturing rather than landfill. Recycling reduces the embodied carbon of battery production significantly, and strengthens Australia's entire resource supply chain.
