FRSA 2025 Year in Review: Innovation, Partnerships, and Growth
As 2025 draws to a close, FRSA reflects on a year marked by innovation, collaboration, and continued commitment to supporting emergency services and rescue professionals across Australasia. From major industry events to exciting new partnerships and product launches, here’s a look back at the highlights.

Industry Events: Showcasing Expertise and Building Connections
FRSA proudly maintained a strong presence at key exhibitions and competitions throughout the year.

At AFAC in Perth, we continued our role as Platinum Exhibitors, showcasing cutting-edge solutions that drive innovation in emergency response. The Holmatro PDR200 took centre stage – a next-generation tool that reinforces our commitment to advancing rescue technology and enhancing operational efficiency.

Our team also attended the 2025 Tactic Conference & Trade Expo in South Australia, a premier event connecting local suppliers with major projects across mining, energy, renewables, resources, infrastructure, and defence industries.

At events such as the Queensland Fire Department Symposium and our own FRSA-led Rescue Experience (ResEx), we delivered live demonstrations of Holmatro’s forcible entry tools, battery-powered RCR equipment, and the OmniShore shoring and stabilisation systems. These sessions provided an invaluable opportunity to engage with frontline responders, share knowledge, and showcase how FRSA continues to support safety, efficiency, and innovation across the emergency response sector.

We celebrated 15 years of the Mining Emergency Response Competition (MERC) as Silver Sponsors, supporting this vital event that unites rescue professionals to share skills and best practices. FRSA also sponsored and attended multiple mines rescue competitions nationwide – from Central Queensland to Tasmania and out to Kalgoorlie – helping set the benchmark for safety preparedness, teamwork, and confidence in high-risk environments.

Our ongoing sponsorship of the Australasian Water Rescue Challenge (AWRC) and the inaugural Australasian Rescue Boat Challenge (ARBC) further highlighted our dedication to the Australasian Rescue Organisation (ARO) and its water rescue initiatives.

Beyond events, we delivered hands-on demonstrations of advanced solutions such as Holmatro’s OmniShore and T1, ensuring teams across the country experienced the latest rescue technologies firsthand.

Across the Tasman, FRSNZ attended the UFBA Road Crash Challenge and UFBA Exhibition, showcasing innovations from our key partners. The team also participated in Tangata Matatau 2025, sharing our firefighting capabilities in both equipment and PPC. Additionally, FRSNZ joined Ronald de Zanger from Holmatro for Vehicle Extrication and USAR training with the Wanaka Fire Brigade – combining classroom learning with practical sessions to strengthen rescue expertise.

New Partnerships: Expanding Capabilities
In 2025, FRSA strengthened its commitment to innovation through the formation of strategic partnerships that enhance our offerings. Our collaboration with FLAIM introduces immersive training solutions, enabling rescue professionals to experience realistic, scenario-based learning in a safe environment. Additionally, our partnership with Gasworks expands our ability to deliver specialised live fire devices, ensuring teams have access to realistic training equipment.

Product Innovations: Raising the Bar
In 2025, FRSA introduced a range of groundbreaking products designed to enhance efficiency, safety, and performance in rescue operations. Leading the way was the Holmatro PDR200, a next-generation tool redefining the standards of forcible entry technology. We also expanded our technical rescue portfolio with CMC innovations, including the SWIVO and LineScale – precision-engineered solutions that deliver reliability and versatility for complex rescue scenarios.

Team Growth and Looking Ahead
Our team continued to grow, adding expertise and passion to better serve our clients. And the excitement doesn’t stop here – 2026 promises even more innovations right around the corner.
