Fire Rescue Safety Australia (FRSA) is an innovative product solutions company that has achieved great success in the emergency services market over the years and continues to break new ground with outstanding new products and excellence in customer service.

 

FRSA’s commitment to these core competencies and a “beyond supply” support focus with clientele, has resulted in FRSA earning a coveted award through RioTinto’s Supplier Recognition Program. This was awarded for,

Riot Tinto Award

      

Excellence in Innovation and Contribution to Sustainable Development”,

and resulted from trials and site implementation of an innovative new fire suppressant “FireAde 2000”. 

 

FRSA was also ranked in Rio Tinto’s “TOP 5” companies, relating to their performance within the goods category for 2008, which was another great achievement.

 

Gary Ashwood, Director of Fire Rescue Safety Australia received the award and said “it is a tremendous result and we are proud to be servicing the needs of RioTinto in the areas of safety, medical and emergency response”.  “FireAde 2000 is the work of Mr Ron Thames, President and CEO of Fire Service Plus, a US based company of which FRSA is the exclusive Australian agent.  “Mr Thames has committed over 30 years of research and development to produce FireAde 2000, a product now at the forefront of innovation and revolutionising the fire fighting industry around the world”.

 

FireAde 2000 is a multi-class A and B fire fighting suppressant that is non toxic, non hazardous, non corrosive and is 100% biodegradable. Mr Ashwood commented,

“Fire Ade 2000 knocks down fires faster than any other product on the market. It holds some of the world’s most stringent environmental approvals, making it a hugely attractive product to reduce the amount of damage sustained and exposure of fire fighters to harm during a fire, whilst being friendly to the environment at the same time.”
